So chances are that the other team who goes to the bowl will not bring much of a crowd. At what point do their tickets get sent back for general sale?
Also, checked on the NOB website for tickets. They list endzone tickets at 40 and the 60 dollars tickets as n/a... hmm?
Once we sell our allotment, the bowl will provide us with more to sell. We can sell as many as possible and can earn up to the max of $500k. Any $$ we raise over the NO Bowl keeps. All per Farmer on BEV today if I understood correctly.
And to second the above, you are not helping this university by going around the school for tickets. This is where we get our payout from. The reason you reserve is to get a good seat and just as importantly, show all bowl committees that our fan base is for real
The seat is not important, I just want to go to the game. The reason I asked about the other team's allotment is because money is tight at the moment. When I do have the money for it, I want to make sure that I can get a decent seat, even if its on the other team's side.
You people need to get the hell over your sensitivity.
"senSITtivity" a word about good seats. ;)
While I want to go to the New Orleans Bowl as badly as everyone else and I would much rather spend a weekend in New Orleans than anywhere else for a bowl game, I find it interesting that while looking at multiple bowl projections there are differeing opinions as to which bowl we will be attending on the bowl projection sites. A couple even have us at bowls other than New Orleans or Go Daddy. I'm not really sure what these sites use to predict the bowl standings but it is interesting to see the different opinions that are out there.

this paints a fairly murky future on the bowl game. The only thing that all the sites did have was UL projected to a bowl and that alone is a good feeling
You do realize that the people who make these projections don't have a clue how sun belt bowl tie-ins work and they are just randomly guessing?
Just left the dome, they had quite a few people reserving tickets for the bowl game. Lady taking payment said it has been steady crowd today.
I guess the question is if UL was offered a larger bowl game would they take it?
Some of these bowls have bigger payouts than the NO Bowl. BUT, the expenses are far greater as our team can bus to N.O. AND, our fans will be in New Orleans by the thousands. Not sure how many would fly to some of these other bowl locations. Our first bowl game needs to be in N. O. so we can make a statement as a team and as a fan base.
Farmer stated that we need to establish a Bowl fan base (history). That means we need to bring as many as we can to the 1st bowl. Then next year when we are bowl eligible, a bowl committee would choose us over another team that does not travel well.
Its very important that we travel well to any bowl game we go to. New Orleans gives the fans the best chance to travel. We know that and New Orleans Bowl committee knows that as well.
