That's a weak excuse. Every school is facing the same circumstances. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

My opinion for what it matters:
-Offense did enough to win
-Ben had a great game
-No sacks for OL
-Team looked well conditioned
Those are all pluses on Coach Des. Defense lost that game, and not sure who that ultimately falls on...Coach Morgan? I don't know the dynamic and control between those two. Did Coach Des let CLM make all defensive calls the entire game? Did Coach Des ever say, "our guys are getting killed up top, can we do x/y/z?"
The loss isn't on Ben, and I think Ben deserves to be QB1 moving forward. But I do think ZC could have won that game in the final 4 plays.
I had to stay off RP after a hard loss like that. First time jumping back on lol
I heard yall best running back is down. Are you saying yall have college level coaching on staff? Is the AHS staff better than UL? Better players than UL? What exactly would I be watching? Tell Coach Moy hello and I know you very well from your days at NHS, NVHS, KHS, BBHS, and AHS.
I came back from that game vs Miss State in the Dome and said Levi was the future. Never imagined two consecutive top 25 seasons though.
Then NIL hit us in the groin with this horrible transfer portal setup and here we are. Covid also didn’t do us any favors as far as Cajun field crowds under Napier went.
I also remember many here did not believe in coach Napier early in his tenure. Des deserves our support. Many gave up on Napier when Coastal beat us at home. That worked out pretty good in the end. Everything in this world is a process.
Too many bandwagon fans in this area as it is. Gotta try to enjoy the process otherwise why bother at all. Starting to sound like CajunVic, better stop!
Geaux UL
Nothing is a given, however the ODU game was one we were supposed to win. Its fair to question if we can steal one we're not favored to win to make up for this loss. That will be telling. Also its too early to throw in the towel on the season or CMD. But you gotta win the games you're supposed to win. That is a big concern now plus with the echos of same issue from last season creeping in.
As for the fan attendance in 2021 season, there was still alot of government and media overreaction to COVID at the time. Not trying to downplay the threat to the elderly or medically compromised, it just seemed like the media enjoyed freaking people out on a daily basis. Some folks had good reasons to stay away from big crowds as the Delta spread had just passed. Others fell out of the habit of going out to games and other activities. Its unlucky for UL fans, it happened during two great football campaigns.
We win at UAB then the athletic department needs to crank the marketing faucet wide open to promote next home game. Buy a ticket to it, get next home game ticket free. IDK what will work but get a marketing strategy/campaign, make goals, and execute.
Remind me how many times that Glasco has been to the WCWS in his 8 years here? How many supers has he been to? With all the studs he has pulled from the portal, he still hasn't been to the WCWS and been to 1 super regional. You are right that softball isn't the same as it was 10 years ago when the Cajuns were regularly going to supers and even the WCWS.
I personally believe we are in need of better asst. Coaches
. . . there is no longer a high school in Maurice and when there was one, it did not play football . . .
Outskirts of Leroy?
. . . La butte . . . Leroy . . . it could not have been Meaux or Maurice or the other would not have agreed to consolidate . . .
