Apparently the RPCA folks need to see them.

If I was a paid member of the RCAF & had everyone's phone number & email address & I knew this team was going to go without hoisting a championship banner at any point this season in the stadium. That would have been numero uno on my to do list. It's still easily doable. They just probably screwed themselves out of 25 grand, or more along the way. That would have been a huge fund raising event for recruiting, a stadium drive, or some other such need that I don't have any idea of because I'm not worthy to hobnob with the "insiders".
Maybe some bright boy who seems to have everyone surrounding the university on speed dial could suggest such a marketing scheme designed to raise copious amounts of badly needed funds without all of the blood bags feeling so much like blood bags. You know, make giving a little bit of fun & not so much like going to an audit.

So no one else like people who are expected to pony up for the grand prize are worthy to share in the fight for excellence? Please don't tell me you learned that business model at UL.

No outside banner looks prestige after much more than a couple years.
A car wrap on a hard substrate might last up to 7 years.
3M vinyl letters on a hard painted surface can last up to 20 years.
UV rays and wind flex are enemies of any banner. Hanging the banner under an awning, concourse or covered walkway could double its lifespan.

Absolutely!
But why stop there? There are 13 year olds that form lifelong opinions based on positive pub they were exposed to at that age.
There's short-term thinking plus long-term thinking, and they need not be on opposite sides of the fence.

True, but so does every fan that bothered to show up last season, every student, and the opposing team needs to be reminded of it too. Of course, with the current "blind man with a cup" business model, no sponsor logo, no get into CF. Let's call it the Popeyes 2021 SBC Championship banner/flag...

The championships are painted on the concourse. You can see them when you're walking up from your seats. Not sure if last years championship has been added because it's not something I've looked for. I'm sure a prominent place to display championships is part of the plan in the stadium upgrade.

Dah? Where on What concourse? Dude, you hang banners & plaques where people can see them. Since I haven't seen anything which you describe, I'm gonna go out on a limb & guess the majority of the people who have been tot he stadium haven't seen them either. But thanks for your efforts GOR ( ghost of Ray)

Thanks for the new name. If you look up while walking up the steps to the concourse, you would see what I’m talking about. I find it comical that when people point out facts, you try to start an argument. May be time for you to grow up and work on your reading comprehension.

A) What steps to what concourse brain surgeon. As I recall there are no steps until you get inside the stadium. The only thing leading to any "concourses" are ramps. And I've done a fair amount of observing & have never seen these magical masterpieces of excellence about which you speak. I'm not saying they aren't there. What I am saying is they sure figured out a way to be ashamed of them if they are there. And you can argue about the murals, there is no debate about steps tot he "concourse".

The lower level on the west side. Walking up those steps to the concourse. Look at the red in the picture under the upper deck.

Re: Football championship banner/flag

With only 4500 fans there should be a lot of elbow room. Signed a casual, casual fan.

Oh yeah, up those steps? The only steps half the fan base never uses & subsequently never sees? Those steps? Another stroke of genius by those in charge being defended by those who are happy with mediocre achievement.

Could we hide it a little more, please?
Jesus, we suck at the simplest stuff.

Stop trying to argue with everyone, it can't be good for your health. M$M pointed out where it's located and you go on a rant about defended mediocrity.

Definitely not upset at you for pointing it out. I appreciate you taking the time to point out to me what my fellow poster was describing. I've only been in the stadium 3 times this season & a haven't seen that & don't know that would ever see it. In fact, I have no idea how long that has been there because I have never seen it.

Where can I buy an official Championship Shirt from last season?

And as posted above, I am grateful to mullet for pointing out the highlights magazine hidden pictures photo shot. Talk about hiding your light under a bushel. And that is what you call sharing your accomplishments with the fans? Do you realize at least half, or more of the people who attend the games have probably never laid eyes on whatever that picture shows. In fact even after seeing the picture I have to take your word that it says something about winning something, or other. I'm still not sure what. You're right, what could possibly be wrong with me? This school is a freaking marketing mecca for geniuses. In fact it's so clever, only the smartest of the smart ever figure out how genius it is. By the way, what does the picture say again?

Just follow the sign up the yellow brick steps from the side line. There you will find the land of Oz with all the great UL gear that the magical munchkins are making. Oh snap, they ran off to USM to play football.
