They better hurry, because it's storming here in the Houston area.....get ready in about 2 hours!
Re: Is that a construction cam?
They definitely got some work done today. All the grass is gone.

Don't know anything about a visitors locker room.
Looks like they are removing the degrass pile from the top of the hill this morning (3/27). If it rains and soaks the pile then it will be hell to pay to get it off. Not to mention the mud flowing down the hill if we get some heavy rains.
Re: Is that a construction cam?
They're hauling the dirt away now.
By the way, it is very nice to see actual progress and machines working. Unlike other facility improvements around the state, we seem to actually get ours done. Similar to the uniform provider change, it's not at the speed and prestige that most on the forums want, but I'll take slow progress over no progress.

----The visitors locker room was suppose to go under the hill on the Press box State Farm gate side---Was wondering how it would fit in the hill!!!

Attached is the only plan for the visiting locker room that I saw in the master plan document.
Re: Is that a construction cam?
I am not a construction expert so I am soliciting comments from those "in the know." I am surprised they are not driving pilings in the hill where the seats are going to support the weight of the concrete and people. May they will. Just curious.
Re: Is that a construction cam?
I saw the plans for the concessions and restrooms for the end zone seating in the end zone. There will also be a bell tower for loudspeakers
Re: Is that a construction cam?
Lots of work done today. Looks like they have everything ready for the rain we are anticipating today and tomorrow. It looks really good. they have all of the silt fencing up along the trench drains and they have no loose mateerial at the top of the hill.
Regarding the piling, it all depends on the geotech report. If the soil is good then they just need to make sure the concrete does not slide down the hill. We will see.
Re: Is that a construction cam?
A visitor locker room under the hill would be bad ___!
Re: Is that a construction cam?
Not to get technical, but it looks like they're trenching to drop that pipe in.

Ragin Cajuns' Athletic Master Plan: We're gonna drop our pipe in that trench.

Hard.
Re: Is that a construction cam?
It will probably be pretty damp the next few days. Hopefully they won't wait too long to get started.
Re: Is that a construction cam?

Boomer,
I found a pic of the visitors locker room. We needed to save some money, so they cut "a few corners"!

Now that's one cut in plans I wouldn't hold against the admin.

Large restroom areas along the top of the hill and concessions connected to the 2 separate buildings. I tried to get a good pic of the rendering but it didn't show well because it was a gray construction document. I did see that the mens restrooms are separate urinals.....not a big aluminum trough.

Not a great pic but this is the rendering
