Loyalty has no presence in D1 college or professional athletics now. It’s a business, and unfortunately have to look at most coaches and players as transactional.
This summer’s transfer portal and Coach Habetz’s success or lack of in it will tell a lot about the program’s future stability.
If she keeps the train rolling and can keep the program as a consistent super regional/WCWS threat in this new environment, will arguably be the best job any coach has ever done at this school.
Same goes for baseball.
I can agree to agree on this.

Not a fan of revisionist history.
If it wasn't newsworthy at the time, there is no real value is hashing what might at the very least be tainted with misinformation.
ps I know some want to know, so...

The fire was already burning bud. We have a new coach now, that's my focus.

No bud if it was already burning it would be common knowledge. You drop an inuendo and roll out without explanation. That is starting a fire.

Maybe the folks that know or need to know already know. Sorry if you aren't included in that group. I'm not included in a lot of different information regarding UL athletics. I don't cry about it or fish for additional information. It is what it is. If it's meant for me to know I will find out if it's not oh well.

He was never an A-hole to me but all top coaches that I do know are A-holes when it comes to competition & winning. The timing of the coaching chance really hurt any chances for this season to be great. Many of the top portal players had already found a new home once Coach Aly started recruiting. Like the old saying goes, "It is what it is". However, the standard is the standard and Coach Aly will uphold that standard & expectations.
I'm not Nostrodomus, but I think the team this year that Glasco wouldve had if he stayed, and theCovid year team, could've been the best teams we've ever had. Particularly the Covid year team.
