Re: This can't happen anymore.
Glasco recruited that school and was able to get a commitment from a player from that school. He had to have seen these 2 girls play and he evidently didn’t offer them either. So who was making the political decision against having those 2 girls here.
Re: This can't happen anymore.
I fall into the group that believes that if they were good enough for us to regret not signing them, they would not be going to USM or Creighton. I am sure they are wonderful young ladies and very good players, but their destinations tell me that they are not elite talent.

Exactly.

True, and they always will (miss on some).

Agree completely.

Wasn’t a conspiracy in how certain coaches there discourage kids from going to UL for athletics, but it wasn’t all the coaches.
I believe the relationships across the board in all sports are much better than say…15 years ago or so.

According to Glasco every kid he talked about was elite. The reality is most wasn't. Me and you have watched a lot of softball thru out the years, very rarely did I or we see elite talent.

Thr people in my inner circle knows. It doesn't matter the reason, these kids have signed elsewhere.

This is ridiculous, I've heard this nonsense for years concerning football and baseball. This is Coach Habetz's first season, and we already have a "Karen" complaining about not offering two kids that played locally. How about we let Coach Habetz run her program and judge her on results.
Re: This can't happen anymore.
A coach should recruit to their position needs and get the best player available that is willing to attend their university. No matter where they live.
There will be misses. Every time an instate player in any sport has a big year not at TSAB, their board is neck deep of “why did Coach (pick a sport) let them get away?”
It’s part of the business.
Re: This can't happen anymore.
I was told by a few different people that Coach Ally has already been told that they missed on these kids. JMV didn't tell me this, but I trust in his judgment of talent. Coaches at STM knows these kids can play at UL.

All coaches hype up the kids they get. Ever hear a coach say, “yeah I shouldn’t have signed her. She’s awful.”?
Glasco did a good job, overcame both UL and personal hardships, and he left. Now, let’s go Coach Habetz!
