Should be a live crawfish. The actual mascot is decided every year by a race. Losers get boiled; winner gets to be mascot and die a natural death. When not performing his mascot duties, he lives in an aquarium in the Union. He leads the band into the field at halftime. Although we have a sizeable international student population, no Chinese crawfish are allowed to compete.

I alike Al the gator as a mascot. Let the students, faculty, alumni, and fans vote on it. Can we do a more public vote to get all of Cajun Nation’s opinion on our mascot?

I liked the idea of Louis and Anna. Definitely alligator with a swamp.
