Wildcatters ready for home opener

Playing on the road is tough in any league, and the Southern Indoor Football League is proving no different in 2010 with the home team a perfect 10-0 on the season.
The Lafayette Wildcatters (0-3) are hoping to continue this trend as they take on defending SIFL Champion Louisiana Swashbucklers (2-2) at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the Cajundome.
Even though the season is only one-third complete, this game takes on added significance for both teams. The Wildcatters desperately need a win, and the Swashbucklers have played all five SIFL Championship games in Lake Charles.
With the Albany Panthers (3-0) and Columbus Lions (3-1) threatening to run away with the top two positions in the standings, a home-field playoff game may be out of the question for the rest of the league.
Adding even more intrigue to this game is the presence of two former UL players who want to make their homecoming a winning one.
Wide receiver Marcus Wildridge leads the Swashbucklers in receiving at 106.5 yards per game and Raymond Harris leads the league in all purpose yards at 178.5 per game.

That was local radio personality James P Bitterman. Memo to Wildcatters organization: less is more. Take his mic away. He ruined the game experience for me.
Re: Wildcatters rally for OT win
Nice to get the home experience "a win" off on the right foot.
Re: Panthers gear up for final home games - Albany Herald
I must be honest. I couldn't care less about the Wildcatters. They compete against UL athletics and I can't look at it any differently.
