Yes, it was a VERY long time ago.
Great visiting w/ you briefly, too. Let's try to arrange for a longer visit when your schedule permits.

How we miss that place. And Burger Tyme. Agree with one of the previous posters, Nash's in Broussard is great.

My recently retired parents are coming in for the baseball series this weekend. This thread will come in handy !
They are definitely headed to Hawks in Rayne, with retired MT baseball coach & AD John Stanford, who is from Sunset, La, I think.

You officially aren't a tourist if you have managed to find your way to Hawks.

Why aren't you coming---I think you came up with an excuse 2 years ago!!!!!!!
Re: Places to eat in Lafayette.
Jimmy Buffett concert tickets in Nashville
Haven't seen him in 10 years.
Wife's birthday on Sunday.
Little one-year-old.
If not for those excuses, I'd be in Lafayette.
When is the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge ?

Anyway, when it comes to pizza, there are plenty of really good choices in the area. Deanos, Pizza Village and its clone JJ's (apparently if you're from Breaux Bridge, its a requirement to love the Village), BJ's, La Pizzeria. Stiff competition for ole Alesi _
If you're from Breaux Bridge, you have to mention Cafe des Amis. unbelievable food and white chocolate bread pudding beyond compare.

Cafe des Amis is great. I forgot about that place.

On the ethnic side of things:
Noodle House - great Thai/Laotian
Masalas- great Indian
La Pizzeria - Italian - awesome calzones
Rumba - Cuban sandwiches
Italian Market - outstanding Italian
