I wasn't sure if Tommy was at the game or not but just looked up Disney UP "old man" and yep that is definitely ole Terry lol
He's a damn good coach. That game against ULM is probably going to be a battle

Except this is also still the Sunbelt and in 2005 when ULM was ineligible for a bowl, the SBC wouldn't let them vie for the conference title.
This broke a three way tie and cost Louisiana a championship and a bowl trip.

Great point, agree.... but the point is not all of the blame can be 100pct placed at the ncaa's feet. I'm fine with the rule, but I always just like looking for loopholes as well, lol.
Technically the rule has to do with transfers not sitting out when they went from fbs to fcs and lower admittance standards in fcs, so it could be argued the ban should be four years as some of those players could still be there. Although in this case I wager jmu has tougher admittance standards than many other g5 and with the portal and no sitting out anyway that part should have been moot

Is being bowl eligible, i.e. needing six wins, which ulm was not, different than having 6 wins and being ineligible for postseason, but still eligible for bowls as an alternate. NY6 requirements doesn't mention bowl eligibility just mentions highest ranked champion
Re: Games of interest weekend of October 13-14
Also the ulm 2005 scenario had other variables that this case does not have

Wasn't implying it is a mirror situation, just that this is still the Sunbelt, so don't hold your breath on them opening a door for JMU.
Then again when the SBC stole Louisiana's Championship it was a rush to protect the SBC reputation following UNT's embarrassment.
This case enhances the SBC rep.
