We would sell our allotment to the Indy, GoDaddy and Camellia Bowls.
GoDaddy would be my last choice. Sunday night, weather and the location of Ladd stadium would deter fans (it would deter fans from ANY school). Indy and Camellia are worth entertaining because they are on Saturday. I still don't think we can go wrong with NO Bowl. Still building a statewide fanbase and a party in Nola always helps.

I'm with you on the first part, and hope you're correct on the second.

And then we'll wonder why we get passed up by South AL, Arkansas State and possibly TX State when the next conference shift happens...

I understand Ark St due to their GoDaddy history, but how is his statement applicable to South Al and Texas State? Texas St has no bowls and hell, USA had 10k announced at their home game this weekend.

That accusation by uslol'dog is completely unfounded. There is no evidence to one way or the other. I guarantee you whatever the result, South AL, stAte or TxSt would not do any better than us. When it comes to the way our fans travel versus what I see in our "visitor's section" or postseason tournaments in other sports, there is no comparison whatsoever.
Re: Latest Bowl Projections From CBS Sports
This is just my unprofessional, as(s)inine opinion, that in order to make up for what we lack compared to some other schools (PERCEIVED market size compared to TX St. and South AL) we need to make sure to knock it out the park when it comes to fan enthusiasm and community support.
Re: Latest Bowl Projections From CBS Sports
Unless we are playing a big name school like Michigan, we won't bring very many people to a bowl game outside of NOLA with the possible exception of one in Houston. I can see us bringing 20-30k to that one with a decent opponent.
Re: Latest Bowl Projections From CBS Sports
We are sitting on something that many around the country wish they had.... a bowl game available to us in a great venue/city within easy travel distance. Even at 10:00 a.m. I think we do ok but I also think it might be less than previous years. Mobile....not happening. Sorry but I guarantee you that people aren't making that trip in the same numbers as N.O. for the numerous reasons mentioned already.
As for conference realignment you have got to be kidding me if you think the "lack" of proving we can travel to a bowl game outside of New Orleans shows up on the radar of the University president's who make that decision. They could care less than less on that statistic.
Re: Latest Bowl Projections From CBS Sports
If we put 15000 in the stadium in Mobile it would look packed. It doesn't hold many to start with
