So you're saying that you are satisfied with Robe's performance since 2002?
No wonder we are in the tank.
Oh, and both Lee and Bustle have posted winning seasons in their tenure here.

since 2002?! My god man, what do you expect?! We're a mid-major that constantly puts a winner on the field.
With some game experience, and some figuring out of a steady rotation, we'll look a lot better in a few weeks. I know that. Plus, you can't walk away from the first mid-week game of the season thinking that this performance mirrors what your team will look like over the long haul.
Not that I think the season is already over, but this is the same thing I read last year after the first weekend, and things never improved.
This team lacks a true leader. Someone that walks the walk and talks the talk. There may be some that talk the talk, but going back to last season, I don't see anyone, at least not an everyday player, doing both. Once that person steps forward, things will get better. Until then, they'll be comme ci, comme ca.
Ok so what you are saying is that as a mid-major we should not expect to compete for a Super Regional birth every year? I am not saying that we should be in a the Supers every year but we should be in the regionals year in and year out with a berth in Super Regionals once every 4 or 5 years.
We are not on track to accomplish the goals that "I BELIEVE" we have set for ourselves as a baseball program. Boulanger and Robe set the bar this high by winning a lot of games and consitantly getting into post season play. Last year the team sucked by our standards. This year is very early, but losing to SLU who had to replace 9 pitchers from last year and only returned 6 position players as well. Yet they came to our house and kicked our butts.
Robe has done a great job throught his tenure here. I am not calling for him to be fired either. But he does need to feel the headt when he underperforms as a Coach/Recruiter just like Lee, Bustle, Rogers, Maufouz and the Lotiefs. He gets a free pass because he is local and people like him.
He (ROBE) has set the bar high and expectations should be met in oreder to keep his job. One or two bad seasons spread out throught a 10 or 15 year tenure is acceptable. Two or three bad seasons in a row is not acceptable from a program that was top 50 for the last 20 years.
