You eloquently explained the mountain UL and the rest of the”mid majors” face in basketball, especially at public universities with FBS football. It’s an uphill fight before the ball is tossed for the season opening tip.

The same b*tch fest RP has become over MBB is about a decade away for football. The Napier Era will be longed for like the Beryl and Bobby Era is today.

If fans of G5 teams would embrace it realistically for what it is, like it or not, we'd all be happier.
The sooner the BIG and SEC break away, the better off everyone else will be.

Got to fight it. Once one sport completely breaks away, greed will follow picking off one sport at a time. Even though it’s billions, football money won’t be enough once the dust settles. MBB is next, then probably baseball. Once the model for breaking away is set, it’s over.

It’s for that reason I’m against throwing in the towel. It okay’s something that might be contested in court, something the A2 wants.

If they break off (all other things being equal), they still raid us every year. Know how much it would suck going into a G5 playoff and your roster is picked apart throughout the playoff?

The only way we will all be happier is if there are common sense regulations applied to the transfer portal (whether it be timing or limitations).

Must sit out a year if you transfer. Put that rule into effect and it would slow all of this crap down.

Im ok only with a grad transfer not having to sit out a year. Too much jumping around these days makes it hard to be a fan and give money for players that will not stay anyway.

You are projecting based on what is happening right now.

If they have no offers yet, they are much more likely to remain in trying to impress mode.

If what you say were true, 100% of soon to be drafted NFL players throughout history would have opted out of bowl games.
