I "heard" the same thing. No confirmation though.

There are actually two different Marriot Hotels across the street from each other on Canal St. If you want to stay at the team hotel make should that you get reservations at the right one !!!!

I found out on Monday that after they received the deposit calls (and continue to do so) they began assigning seats according to RCAF contribution levels and so forth. Now that they are calling, they ar not necessarily calling according to levels. Since seats are already assigned, it doesn't matter if they call a lower level contributor before a higher level. Seats are already set aside by levels.

They have us playing...Temple, Illinois, Western Michigan, Ball State. I continue to think it's going to be either Illinois or SMU. They didn't mention SMU, but it's been reported that the New Orleans Bowl people are working behind the scenes with other bowls to have them select other teams to leave SMU available to play the Cajuns.

Either Illinois or SMU would be a great test and quality opponent.

One of those teams is looking for a new coach and the other may be. I wonder what the gossip/rumors will be that week?

Where is SMU to new orleans being reported? Other than someone commenting here about it, I have not seen any report that this deal is bein worked out. I also don't see why they would come to new olreans instead of playing in their backyard. It's like us going to another bowl game instead of new olreans.

Come on down Illinois! The last time they played in New Orleans in a bowl game didn't turn out to well for them either!

Meeting son who's flying in from VA (Miss St grad and Cajun fan) on Friday in NO. GW Fins on Fri evening; Acme or Drago's for Saturday noon. Fun time at the Dome PM. Sorry, Mercedes Dome or something. May just stop at Meddendorfs in Manchac on way back Sunday and then fast for a week.

I kinda don't want to play SMU for the sole fact that they are also RED. I want to see a sea of Cajun fans in RED... and show exactly how many fans we bring to the game. I don't want the entire dome filled in RED.

I know this is minor.. but it's just my thoughts. Anyone else agree? Lol

It may sound silly... but I do agree. I don't want another school claiming that they were a large share of that red. I want us to stand out and make sure everyone knows how much we support our team. They'll be no mistaking the cheering... but I want the crowd shots for TV and pics to validate our numbers.
