No we wouldn't have. Because why? Because we were setting the world on fire when Fields was in there? I really don't understand. The LAST person that should be catching ANY criticism, is the true freshman QB. Go through the entire laundry list before his name should even be mentioned. You act like we were doing anything before Fields went out. It's insane.

The health, depth and luck portion of the success equation were not real good for the Cajuns tonight.

Fields went out 3 minutes into the second quarter and it was 7-3. They were driving and had a 4th and 2. Beale went in and didn’t convert. Huge momentum shift.
Then it was 3 plays punt
5 plays interception
3 plays punt
7 plays for 13 yds punt.
How long did you expect the defense to be able to stop them when we were punting the ball away without any time of possession.
I’m not blaming Beale at all but I believe that Fields would have extended those drives and kept our defense off the field for longer.
When you’re down to your 3rd string freshman qb, the play book is just limited, there is no way around that.

Hilarious. the true freshman QB is catching all this grief with how bad this entire team played and coached. Yall lost yall damn mind with this nonsense. Talk about our ____tty line play. Our stupid penalties, our terrible play calling, etc etc etc. We lose this game regardless of who is QB.
