I wonder if this was the logic of banning tailgaters from going to their spot during the game.
Did Sodexo view it as a lost sale to a captive customer?

Great lineup.
How many are there "Food Truck" style?

Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
There were several food trucks at Cajun Field the couple games I went to last season.

Zeus and KOK had their trucks in the stadium and I think one more. Basically, each spot where a food truck could be parked, they had one. Others set up tents and tables if they didn't have a permanent spot.

Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
How can we both be famous for our tailgating, i.e. cajun cooking, yet also in need of outside vendors?
-
Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
Talyn’s Taste of Excellence was also a food truck.
-
Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
G&G quaility catering and Peach Cobbler Factory also had trucks. They should definately try to incorporte some trucks at Russo Park but not sure where they could park them.

Because the Sodexho options are overpriced garbage that do not reflect our food culture

I mean the food from the tailgating fans themselves

You know the answer.
Its because most of the cULture has been priced out of tailgating.
The experienced tailgaters could run their own "truck"
-
Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
Interesting. No, i didnt think about that. So the high price of tailgating has actually resulted in tailgating without tailgating food? Yikes.
-
Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
We cook, eat and drink before games so we don't have to pay stupid, high prices for bad food and beer. Beer isn't bad, it's just 1 beer is the same price as a six pack. This way, I have the whole game to "sober up" before getting driving home. LOL!

No silly.
Just fewer fans cooking for themselves.
Less cULture

The decrease in cULture seems to have coincided with the increased talk of cULture, odd turn of events

"Themselves" is also a problem and a lacknof cULture, i remember when the tailgaters seemingly cooked for everyone, but i get it, higher prices of the spot and now the food too

Best way to do it. Our tailgating became legendary because of decades of Cajun fans doing exactly this.
TV contracts destroy this.

Not to mention the price of bottled water (when available). I think UL charges $4.50 or $5.00 per bottle! For reference, I buy a case of 40 bottles at Costco for $3.99! You can't tell me that Sodexo or UL can't sell it for half that price and still make plenty of money. After all, the concession stands are usually staffed by volunteers from local high school organizations, thus eliminating the need to pay staff.

I understand needing to be profitable, their prices are so high that I have to believe they would be more profitable by selling a much higher volume at lower prices. We need DOGE to audit Sodexo!

Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
You guys have any idea the beast Sodexo is? Don’t think they GAF unless someone tries to break a contract.
Sodexo (formerly Sodexho Alliance) is a French food services and facilities management company headquartered in the Paris suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux.[3] It has 522,000 employees as of 2023,[4] operates in 55 countries and serves 100 million customers on a daily basis.[5] It is Europe’s second largest company of its type by both number of employees and revenue after Compass Group.

Re: Should UL get rid of Sodexo?
All true, and so depressing. Feels like there’s no way out and we’re headed for the final “deadly nosedive”

Let student groups sell the water...
