First off on Offense, we have to establish the run. Levi does not have to be great through the air, but he has to be good and efficient. I don't know if we will see many kicks returned but if we do, we need to get the ball out of the shadow of our end zone. Drives need to start at the 25 at the minimum. App can put pressure on the QB, so starting inside the 10 will be trouble. Rhys needs to continue to be Rhys, We don't need 70 yard punts, but he needs to keep the ball away from their dangerous returners and get us out of trouble when needed. Kickoffs, just don't let them return them and we will be ok. They are dangerous on returns, but Allemdeous has been really good kicking the ball into the endzone, he needs to keep that up. Stevie needs to get some confidence in this game, if and when he gets attempts he needs to connect on them. Hopefully we won't need him, but if we do, he needs to make everything inside of 40 yards.

This is going to be a downright dogfight.

Football is still about running the ball and stopping the run. Cajuns win with dominating running game and a solid (but not spectacular) defensive performance...ST make a play to turn the game into a route...

After studying this game over the last 5 days, I'd like to amend my prediction from the RaginCajunArmy Pod. I said 33-26 Cajuns in Ep2.

I'm changing that to 41-20 Louisiana.

Why would we go for 2? Stevie is 100% on extra points this year. The backup missed the extra point last week.

We just need special teams to not lose the game. Make field goals from 30 yds or less and don’t muff the damn punt.

The more I look into this match up the more my gut tells me app will win.....I think Evans is A LOT like hill from Mippi St. We really struggled to stop a good ball carrier... the cajuns will have to pick their poison in this one.... if we can slow down Thomas I think we can win... if I had to design a game plan it is to stop Thomas and test my front 4 against the run. I hope I’m wrong but App st 42- Cajuns 35....Geaux Cajuns

I think the only reason we are favored is because we are 5-0 against the line this year. I would consider a win for the Cajuns to be an upset.

You think Evans is comparable to the best back in the SEC? You think App St oline is as good as Miss St oline? Sorry man, respectfully disagree. Evans and Hill are totally different backs.

Only from an historical perspective. On paper, in Vegas, on film... Cajuns are better.

North Carolina is dumpster fire. No one wants to talk about App St struggling to beat Charlotte, and giving up tons of yardage to everyone they've played. We can only play the schedule we have. Miss St was a loss because we beat ourselves. If you want to say turnovers are part of the game... That's fair. But it's also THE easiest mistake to clean up.

UNC is not a dumpster fire. The fact that their signature win is more impressive than ours doesn't mean we can't or won't win. It is what it is.

If UNC is a dumpster fire, sign me up. A one point loss to #2 Clemson and another close loss to #19 Wake. Wins against Miami, South Carolina and GT. No doubt App St has the more impressive resume, but home field is giving us the edge in Vegas’s eyes.

App St does not have the more impressive resume. SOS #91 compared to ours at #70.

Anyone who thinks UNC is a good team has not watched them play. They needed 5 turnovers to beat Miami at home. And you're touting Wake Forest as a good win?! Kidding me. They're OK. South Car has won ONE game (FCS doesn't count). And GT coach resigned after being so bad, they couldn't compete. North Carolina is not a good football team.

MAT is correct about MsSt’s Hill. He leads the SEC. Evans sits 70 odd yards behind Ragas with one game less played. I am of the mind that we stop the run cold turkey and force them to be us through the air...6 in the box and a nickel to roam the 2nd-3rd level.

MAT, the point was who had the better signature win. I'm not sure how you can deny that UNC is a better win than either Ga Southern or Liberty. I'm thinking you didn't see them play yet. I watched both the Miami and Wake games.

To further the point, you do realize that UNC beat Wake who is ranked right? I mean they are not a traditional power but they have a solid team this year. Also, Miami didn't have any turnovers in the game. Not sure where the 5 TO thing came from.

Bottom line, App St beat UNC and we lost to MSU. In my book that gives them a better resume. I still think we can win this.
