Named Gibson I think. Is he done? Was he taking a RS or having to sit? Or is he just not very good?
Either way, with the HS kids coming in, Lewis, and this JUCO kid, and possibly the kid I'm asking about, hopefully Napier will be able to find someone who's capable.
I was told Gibson will get his chance along with Levi to take the job this spring. If Fields enrolls early, spring will be fun to watch this year.
Re: Football starters in 2019
On offense, really just replacing QB, Malone and Barnes.
On defense, I expect Manac, Hill, Jacquet, Garror, Moncrief and Wallace all to start, if healthy. Boudreaux brings so much knowledge, leadership and experience that I think he will be start the season as a starter, but I do hope he is beat out by a more athletic LB during the season.

Q walked on at both Toledo and here. Not sure if he is the answer.

Hopefully he is a 1 year rental to let our Rookies to get some exp

Is signing day on Wednesday this week?

On offense I know a lot of people here have written Lewis off, but if do not have a spring JC transfer he is going to have a huge leg up on winning the job.
I have no clue what Napier might have in the works as far as a JC transfer qb, etc, but playing Lewis every 4th series told me he's taking no chances and just in case no one comes along to fill the role, he'll have someone with some real game experience.
I have to tip my hat to him for that because he was, in essence, coaching for both this year and next.

Some Bennett film below, jr year I believe.
Looks pretty impressive, great pocket presence, fast release, and when running reads his blockers very well.
I liked McDowell's film as well but didn't find him to be as accurate a passer.

Stetson Bennett. I linked some of his high school film just above.

Well, can't say I saw anyone say....Stetson Bennett committed to UL..........but there's a lot of hints, winks, and nods that he has.
Again, I really like his passing ability......very quick release, very accurate even on long throws as the receivers rarely have to break stride. That often means touchdown instead of just a nice gain.
Re: Football starters in 2019
He has an unorthodox motion. Reminds me of Brett Favre. He slings it though.
Stetson Bennett sounds like a good quarterback.

Watched his JC highlights. Biggest takeaways are his arm strength and his speed. When he decides to tuck and run, he's dangerous.
Worries me that he's never received offers above MAC, CUSA or SBC, and his 3 years eligibility could drive Fields elsewhere.
