I have often said NEVER turn down a bowl, but when your admins did I was sure it because you had something else locked up.
This is what i was thinking. LT wanted separation and forced the indy bowl to invite a mediocre NIU instead of a deserving UL who would have brought a ton of fans to the game. NIU with extra practice and confidence gained from the bowl appearance won the MAC 2 years in a row and landed a rich BCS bowl. They should send flowers to Tech for their help.
