BB G1 Final: Louisiana 3, Southern Miss 2

That's a soul crusher for MissSO and they deserve every ounce.

So many people want to doubt the fight of this team. We feasted on the bottom half of the league, now we are playing better teams and people think it should be easy? It is going to be a battle here on out, but this team will not throw in the towel.

Give Hermann the game ball. He kept us there. Everyone will remember Debo but he’s the runner up player of the game IMO.

Precisely. This is a very difficult stretch of conference games. Meanwhile, the Cajuns are a very respectable 2-2 against Coastal and Southern Miss thus far. I will certainly take that.

Even when we were down 2-0, the USM bats were silent as well and it was a very competitive well played game by both teams ... including no error ball. USM had three hits all night ... only one hit after the first inning. Meanwhile, that leadoff hit in the first inning was cheap and USM should feel very fortunate that McIntyre scored ... giving USM two runs in the first, as opposed to a single run.

As far as LP is concerned ... Coastal and Southern Miss want nothing to do with him. 6 innings of perfect baseball against those guys ... including 12 Ks.

Another example of how out dated the RPI system is. Is Debarge the best performer amongst all Cajun athletes in the 2023-24 academic year. I can't think of anyone who has been more clutch than he since sports competition began in August.

That is not the RPI ... that is the NCAA attempting to put lipstick on the RPI by introducing the Quartile metrics. These Q metrics are arbitrary and absurd.
