MBB Final: Louisiana 79, Marshall 93

Michael Thomas should get more playing time. No other guard on this team can break a defense down and get the ball moving like he can. Marlin put him in the game around the 7-8 minute mark and that's where our fortunes started to change. As soon as he gets in there, we start getting open shots and knocking them down. The ball doesn't move with Williams or any of our other guards playing the point.

Also, it would be nice if our big men like Brown would give the ball to our guards after a defensive rebound. Geesh! Killing any chance at transition baskets.

By the way, Greg Williams is a great player but he is not a point guard. We're playing two shooting guards in our starting lineup.

Williams is horrible. Already 4 turnovers in second half. Had to have a half dozen in first half. How did he get a scholarship at a basketball school like St John's?

Said this the minute he signed. The last time we had a true PG, we went to the dance.

These refs need to give the whistles a freaking break.

Blowing them every damn minute both ways.

He has the ball in his hands too much. Just like Cedric. Anyone with a brain on that bench would make him an off the ball guard, just looking to shoot and create offense off of screens.

Then why is he already in the game this half? A player can't guard anybody while they are on the bench. He should have had an assist immediately but our big man missed the gimme.

We had Jay Wright after Elfrid. He was a true PG as well.

Julien leading the break is just as bad as Brown leading it. Give up the rock!!!!

This is a Cajun basketball team that is not good…at all.
