This game is a great barometer game. If we win convincingly, we 'll be happy. If by some chance we lose or barely escape, the natives will be circling huda wagon.

Hard to say. For a typical in-state conference game, we'll travel anywhere from a couple of hundred to Natchitoches, to 2-3k to Nicholls, depending on record, weather, etc. Somewhere in between is a safe bet. Considering Lafayette is an easy drive for our alumni base, and someone we haven't played in a long time, I think we'll have a pretty strong contingent, relative to what's typical for us.

It's a different level of competition. SLU is slightly better than McNeese was, but even if we bring our C- game, we should beat this team with zero problems.
