You could remove the PSL costs for Section 2 seats behind the baskets. Almost no one has tickets there now.

Montagne Center was built in just 18 months (from June 20, 1983 through November, 1984). The facility originally seated 8,000, but capacity was expanded in 1985 to 10K+ It just took one year after completion to realize that they need an extra 2K seats.........

IMO, before building a new basketball arena (unless we're talking about 10+ years from now) I'd use the 50 million on the new baseball improvements, the new basketball practice facility (so the APF can be completed), and the football stadium phase 2 work before even thinking about something to replace the Cajundome. I'd maybe even put a multi-level parking facility at Cajun Field before a new basketball facility.

Loathe as I am to admit it, I actually kinda liked ULM's stadium. It's capacity is just over 7K, I believe, but I imagine a modernized Blackham looking a lot like that.

excellent point! Then maybe the second level endzone seats could be free of PSL charges. Or, we could have a secondary ticket market for all of those season ticket holders that rarely attend and re-sell their tickets without the PSL charges. Just spitballing here! I would just love to see a nice thick fan base surrounding the team.
