In case you didn't see the game on Sunday, the Cajuns lost on a 3 in the final 10 seconds to UNT which went on lose in the championship game by 4. The Sun Belt tournament is generally pretty wide open. To suggest that this team didn't have any chance to win it is very indicative of how much you followed basketball this season. Don't let the performance from the last of the two games you saw fool you.

While I do disagree with BWK about Elfrid Peyton and a lot of other stuff. I agree with him that it is fair to question where the program is.
I still believe that Marlin will get it done, but I don't know for certain. We haven't won a Sunbelt tourney game in 6 years. It's fair to ask some questions.
I also agree that until we start reeling off wins, crowds won't come to the dome. People in Lafayette expect a high level of basketball. Rightly or wrongly, I believe most people in Lafayette supported basketball far more than football.
We have to get better quickly. I believe Marlin is a good X & O's coach. However, the best play in the world drawn for a guy who can't shoot will lose to a terrible play drawn up for Michael Jordan.

You aren't getting it. Of the 10 games in the conference tournament this year, only 2 were won by double digits with the largest margin being 15 points. The average margin of victory was just shy of 6 points. The only conference losses the Cajuns suffered by a wide margin were a 25 point loss to Denver and the loss to ULM. But then they also stomped the eventual western division winner by 19 at their place. You have to smoking something if you think this team didn't have a chance in the tourny, especially with the propensity the tourny has for producing low-seeded winners.
BTW, the Cajuns have been one and done for 6 years in a row, but the last 2 under Marlin have been losses by 5 points and 4 points. Tournaments are funny things. I don't think many were expecting Middle to be one and done.

YOU don't get it, CajunFan. Bandwagon prince is so much smarter and more knowledgeable than us that...heck...he doesn't even need to go to games and can STILL provide THE definitive evaluation of the status of our program. Matter of fact, he wasted time going to two whole games. Probably had enough to make a judgement after that first one.

You're right. How stupid and idiotic of me.
Re: What percentage of Football support is acceptable for Basketball
I tell you guys what worries me---FIU, WKU, and ASU have had great recruiting the last 2 years in football---Not quite sure about the rest of the league---In B-ball WKU and NYU have had great years and not sure about the rest----But if we are gong to win we absolutely need to pick up our recruiting efforts--I think that it has been posted about our terrible shooting and we NEED some guys to fill it up ----NOW!!!!!

When you base a majority of your opinions off of a loss to ULM which I've previously said was an aberration, then yes you may need to attend more than 2 games before you expect people to listen to said opinions with any sort of merit.
