Look what he did 2 years ago At Arkansas State, down in foruth quarter and comes back to win game. Last year at Ohio, passed for 347 yards give or take to make the record books at UL. Opens up against Ole Miss and drives down the field for a score after he tore his right thumb up he continues to play getting killed by the Ole Miss defense.
I quess what I am saying is we have our best quarterback playing fullback...................crazy.
Ok now that I got that off my chest. Geaux Cajuns!!!!!
From your writing, I can feel your frustration and you have every right to feel like you do. It's a mystery to me on how all that transpired around Brad becoming a fullback and I really don't understand the thought process behind it. I'm sure there was more going on behind the scenes than we will ever know and you know way more than I do. Brad has always shown the desire and will to win and although I can't speak for everyone, I do believe most fans do recognize and appreciate that.

I promise you, all knowledgeable UL football fans recognize and appreciate what Brad has done for this program and how strong his will to win is. He is a grade 'A' team player and we are very happy to have him on our team!

While I think Blaine has shown some of those same characteristics Brad has them all. Also Brad and Blaine bring similar skills to the game so rotating them would not be as big of a change as it is when Chris comes in. JMO
Unfortunately, I don't think Brad will get a chance to play QB this year unless both Chris and Blaine are
injured. If he were a junior, things might be different. Brad does seem to be doing a good job at
fullback. You do have to get a leader of his nature on the field.

Brad's completed the longest pass so far this year. For all of the ballyhooing about Blaine and Chris... only one guy has a 100% completion rate.
I assume Brad's finger injury took him out of the original race with Chris. Then, I guess coaches decided they wanted/needed him participating on Saturdays and went the FB route. The downside of accepting a FB assignment (and I believe Brad would accept whatever the team requested of him) it probably tightens up your throwing motion (bulking up) and that kind of helped end the QB opportunity. I'm not sure what Hud took into consideration... but it seems like Brad would have been given another fair shot at the QB battle in the spring and fall.

I don't know what Rickey's thought process was either. But I believebthat flawed thought process is one reason he is no longer a head coach.
