Yes, legislature has allowed very liberal circumstances. Plus, and I think this is right, at least some persoanl service contracts do not require a bid.

What did the Long's ever do for UL? To my knowledge, they only aided LSU. So, why do we name our volleyball facility on campus after Earl K Long and why do we still have a Southwestern sign on the building? It's part of our history, but we are moving forward not backward. Time for a change from Southwestern to Louisiana and drop the Earl K Long building name. Maybe rename it after a prior university president or perhaps more appropriately after Dutch Reinhardt who headed up intramural athletics in that building along with being an H&PE instructor, head basketball coach (games were played there), freshmen football coach, and tennis coach. I can't think of a better person to rename this building after.

Louisiana as a whole should scrap the Long family name off all state buildings, bridges, etc., and we should remove that statue from in front the State Capitol and throw it in the river.
Re: State of Louisiana: NIL
How cool would it be to have a neon red “LOUISIANA” sign above the volleyball facility?

Some of us appreciate history. Keep the Southwestern Light up. It’s unique and really cool!

Might as well topple the capitol building into the lake also.
