We were so bad offensively the last two years, bottom 50% nationally 2017 and bottom 10% 2018, it just feels like we are back.

This season we are 135th on base % and 99th slugging nationally.

What a load of nonsense.

We’ve been losing games all year long putting up 5+ runs. Did the teams from the last 3 years not hit against worn out pitchers down the stretch? Discrediting a team’s offensive stats because they are facing tired arms like EVERY TEAM IN THE NATION EVERY SINGLE YEAR is “we need more practices” level silliness.

I dunno bout dat. This is a 100th ranked offense. I do think if the offense we have in May played like this since Feb. you win that bet. Probably top 20 team.

2017 pitching stats were top 10 in everything. Hitting coach should have been fired June 1.
