Athletics know no seasons. Well they don't know holiday seasons, but they do know recruiting seasons, and spring practice seasons, etc. Which is exactly why they had to do this now. At least some of these guys will, in some manner, be able to enjoy the holidays because they aren't working. But, not only do schools fire coaches, coaches fire schools. If better opportunities come along, many assistants leave without so much as a goodbye. Coaches are hired assasins.
