He was addressing how overstated the whole "Napier endorsed Mike" thing is. He's leaving for a P5 job making double what he was here, he can pretty much say anything at that point. The point is that if he felt so highly about Mike, why not take him with him? He took the bulk of the staff and other assistants. He's basically endorsing the one guy he didn't even offer a position to.
