Tulane is learning you can’t steal good coaches from this league often. Hunter ain’t Fritz

Lamers limp into last place under Hunter. 😂😂😂

Looks like everybody is up next year - in your book. Got to appreciate the optimism.

Mid major guys with success will try to go to the big schools while guys on the bench at the major schools will try to find places they can blossom at the mid major level.
As far as who we are looking at in spring recruiting, I have no names but I think we are combing the JUCO circuit for all positions. I do know coaches have spent more than on the road during the season than any I can recall. Of course some of those searches could be geared towards the November signing date and beyond.
Mike, this begs the question, how many guards has Marlin recruited out of high school that have played four years and graduated? The only two that come to mine are on the team now, Hardy and Aucoin. Aucoin is in graduate school and Hardy is a senior and I suppose he is on track to graduate this semester or next. It seems like he gets most of his guards as transfers; e.g., Stroman, Wright.

Thanks. So, is difficulty measured by W/L's among the four tier groups?

Good question. Kasey Shepherd and Bryant Mbamalu come to mind. Stove played 2 spot at times. EP would have played four had he not been drafted. I expect Cedric Russell to be a four year guard

College Basketball Power Index

The College Basketball Power Index (BPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of performance going forward. BPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Strength of Record (SOR) is a measure of team accomplishment based on how difficult a team's W-L record is to achieve. Game predictions account for opponent strength, pace of play, site, travel distance, day's rest and altitude, and are used to simulate the season 10,000 times to produce season projections. Numbers update daily.
I did not know that altitude was such a factor in game predictions!

Thanks. So, say he recruits 2 freshman guards every year for 10 years...40 guards. Then, 6 or 7 stay for all four years and then graduate. That seems like a high attrition rate. I wonder what the average is for DIV I basketball.
