To argue it wasn’t the right hire is your opinion and a fair argument. To argue it was done to strictly save money and hire on the cheap, as many do, is just factually incorrect.

They listed those specific characteristics of Des because that was the guy they hired. They wouldn't sit there and name all the things he doesn't possess that others would've provided. So, of course those are the characteristics they "enumerated" that they were after. Otherwise, it would've made for an awkward press conference.

Yes. Thanks for making my point. You can be Helton with PAC 12 head coaching experience or Des with none. In the Belt you gonna get paid belt first contract kind of money either way. No one is gonna pay a guy like Helton 1 mil in a first contract even with the experience.
