As much as I agree with you, he doesn't get enough Saturday snaps to play action pass. Unless he has some precise targets and situations drilled into his mind, I'd rather keep the bulldozer run as his primary option. I have no problem with his short yardage role. But our coaches better know damn well what they're doing with him in play action. I'd rather him in the true wildcat to present defenses with guess work.

The true wildcat as you mention it doesn't provide any guess work. What type of Saturday snaps does he need to make a bootleg and 6 yard pass? I don't think he's nearly as bad of a passer as some of you do and I think its not like it would be a huge risk but as of right now, everybody who scouts us will know exactly what he's doing when he comes into the game and that really doesn't add anything to the offense nor does it make the Wildcat a valid offensive option.

What? The true wildcat presents a multitude of guess work. Nixon is just a running QB in our use of him. You want him to play as a true QB in play action. I'm saying run a version of the true wildcat with Nixon. It generates massive possibilities for a defense. We agree that his run only assignment isn't fooling anyone.

When the lightning delay started, there was a skirmish of sorts in the upper deck with McNeese fans. Can anyone here explain what happened?

Pig farmers versus dairy farmers. Nasty stuff.

Seemed like our fans gave a hearty applause when they left the stadium. Made me think something had been building up.

Supposedly a UL fan pulled a Mcneese kid off the UL grass area in the north end zone and that didn't go over well with the mcneese parent. That could have been unrelated to what happneed in the mcneese area
