Great article Jay, it was good to hear Troy's voice last night. He sounded like he wanted to jump out of his own skin. He has waited a long time for this...and I'm glad he got to stick around to see it happen. This is why you support YOUR university, win or lose. Jay, you are right in that now is a time to not only celebrate but to honor all the people who kept the program alive (on life support in some cases) when things were at their darkest hour. This was one of your finest pieces. You mentioned several folks who helped to do just that but it would be tough to name them all. Potential recruits should be encouraged to read this so as they can get a little bit of a feel for what it means to be a Ragin Cajun. By the way, I talked to one of the assistant coaches who was here for part of the Bustle years. I told him that many people recognize that Coach Bustle contributed to the progress and made yesterday possible. His response was he thinks Coach Bustle knows that. David Walker is another that deserves more credit as he was able to bring pride and respect to the people who work in athletic administration. Now, in today's world many programs get to bowl games. To really turn the perception of your program around, you have to win that game. Let's get ready to help the team go do just that.Quote:

The Athens, Ohio, school received 10,000 tickets valued at $450,000. It sold 2,181 tickets, generating $98,150, for a game in Detroit about 278 miles north, at 1 p.m. the day after Christmas.
Since its expenses were $164,464, the school lost $66,314 playing in the game, according to university records.
“There was a cost, but this is our business,” Hauser said. “We’re about getting kids to the postseason in every sport, men’s and women’s. And they all cost money.”

Love the article Jay. It really brings it home to reflect on those who so loved the Cajuns and will join us in New Orleans in spirit only. I hope this is especially sweet for those that contributed so much of their heart, energy and time in the many tough years leading up to this. The old and the new join together as one big Cajun family to celebrate this momentous occasion. How sweet it is.
Interesting ulm board some are crying and moaning about UL going to new Orleans Ark state fans are whining about hotel prices in mobile and wkenticky fans seem to rralize that they could not bring enough fans and that is why they are still waiting. And we know how difficult it can be to wait for a bowl bid

These aren't the ones I bought (haven't bought any yet, still waiting on some friends to confirm), but this is a sample of the seats listed. GNAD I assume means General Admisson. This does not correspond with the seating chart for the Saints games. Anyone know the deal here?
