Watch, it's probably not even Deggs and Maggard has us all fooled. Lol. What if Gautreau is the ace up the sleeve? ;)

So Deggs was able to recommend him for a position here but couldn't take his own recommendation and bring him to SHSU? That's enough to tell me about the future if Deggs is hired here.

If Deggs is hired, we need to hire a pitching coach. Keep Wells to complement Deggs with the hitting and have a full-time pitching coach. Deggs/Wells would be lethal.

I'm aware. But people continue to bring up the long history of Deggs and JT. If there's such a long history, wouldn't you take him to SHSU with you? Or does Deggs think more highly of Harvell than JT?

Deggs and Harvel were working here together at the time. A lot of times it’s just circumstance or timing. I’m sure most coaches have more than one person as a friend and can think of more than one coach at a time as a good coach. It’s not like there is a limit. Talbot got out of coaching to be with his kids, at the time he wanted an opportunity to be near them...they were in Thibodeaux at that time.

They were here together? No way! Next thing you'll tell me is that we landed on the moon.

I just think the notion of Deggs keeping JT on staff because of their history together is not believable.

Since you already know everything, do you know for sure deggs didn’t talk to talbot about SHSU? And talbot said Texas is too far from my family?

Came in late on the conversation and didn't see that question posed. I think it's a good hire, but I feel like they shortened the search and focused on him instead of going national. I could be 100% wrong on that, but the time period doesn't match up for a national search.

He is poison and needs to go. He has been front and center during the entire and steepest decline the program has seen.

I don't know and you don't know. I know what history has shown.

History also shows that Deggs brought Harvell here in 2013 and not JT. Again, he had a chance to get the band back together...and didn't.
