BUT if Detroit had not been willing to take FIU one of New Orleans or Mobile would have had to take FIU.
With Nebraska taking the Big 10 to 12 members, the Detroit fallback option is essentially gone, they should be able to fill their slots.

Anyone setting up bus trips. That would be the way to go. Ride plus tickets. Get there early afternoon and see the sights. Go to the game and relax on the ride back home after the game.
Jay is at the media press conference and just tweeted the following ..
Farmer: we can recoup expenses by buying thru UL. Were taking ticket reservations starting today. Use our website, Cajundome or Tigue Moore

Got 8!
got my 3
You guys realize this is all a consiracy by UL to discourage and dishearten the moanrovians and make them feel inferior so they won't come down to the game, right? Our first move of not allowing them to sell tickets to this Saturday's game eliminated most of them from coming. This is just the final blow to discourage the last few diehards chickenhawks.
Some say it is not official---some say they are buying tickets----Some say it is a deposit---What in the hell is the story???? Have we been invited to the New Orleans Bowl???
We dont get bowl invites to any bowl until after the season. With that said, obviously a few conversations probably have been had. And its a deposit towards your ticket.
I believe it is to a possible future bowl game too. Any game, any place. It is non-fundable and goes toward the purchase of the game ticket. If we were to say be invited to Mobile, those that put a deposit down, that suddenly don't want to go or can't go would be screwed more or less.
This is not a deposit toward a NO Bowl ticket, this is a deposit toward ANY bowl game ticket.
That's correct, thus the reason they have both the NO Bowl and Godaddy Bowl logos on the page.
I know that the $30 is non refundable....so If you do choose to go this route, do it wisely
I was wondering, will there be a "student section" at the NOLA Bowl or should I just buy my tickets anywhere? My guess would be no but I wanted to make sure. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I've never been to a bowl game before :)
What's the reason for accepting deposits on the tickets ahead of time? Are they expecting to sell out our allotment?
I would imagine it has to do with having an extra month to be able to sell seats.
