Our best matchup as of late was vs Houston in the Indy Bowl when we went 6-6 in 2022. lol. Our bowl tie ins are just not good in the SBC. I’m happy we have this SBC championship to play for Saturday as it’s a bigger deal than any of those bowl matchups.

DECEMBER 17, 2024 | KICKOFF 8PM CT

I will take it vs an American opponent near Dallas in Frisco.
This is one of the better projections.
I think to avoid the NOLA bowl vs a CUSA opponent we need to win this SBC Championship Saturday and we can get this matchup and bowl

I know they are 6-6, but looks like most projections have us in NOLA bowl vs SHSU.

Ill reserve my opinion till after Saturday night but if we win and we are top25 or very close to it and SBC champions and we end up playing any of those schools in those crappy bowls we have a severe lack of respect and poor perception problem.

That game is in 13 days. They need time for teams to make arrangements I guess.

South Al bowl game is next Saturday so they announced that one already and Hawaii bowl was announced early for travel I guess.

So now that the PAC is no more and has only 2 members with only one, Washington St being bowl eligible that will leave an opening for Indy Bowl for us vs possibly an American opponent. Army or Navy??

This would be awesome.

Independence bowl seems to have failed to meet their ties in way more than any other bowl....
And was usually the p4/5 not meeting the requirement.

For this year, Pac12 tie ins include the legacy schools (those now in the Big Ten, Acc, etc). So, think “old” Pac12.

Independence is a slight possibility from what I’m hearing. But I wouldn’t say likely.

But I’ll reiterate….it ain’t gonna be NO.
