I wanna say it was 2001 or '02, UL told the fraternities we could bring an ice chest of cold beer to Lady Cajuns Softball Facility. This is one hell of a long time ago but I wanna say we were in a left field bleacher. If im mistaken, we were on the 3rd base line somewhere behind LF'er.
But what got us over there even more than the ice chest of cold beer was Lady Cajuns Softball gave us a Home Run Derby at the dish, throwing from the flat mound.
It was a very cool experience for folks who had never hit up a Lady Cajuns Softball game. Hell, first time I and a bunch of us, actually, every one of us had never stepped inside facility.
If they're concessions are open, why would they want people bringing in their own stuff?

That's what I said. No way would they allow that.

It's called attendance
Cajuns v purple and yellow, scrimmage only
Publicity received will raise even our already awesome baseball attendance

Re: UL - LSU Baseball Scrimmage 11/13/22
Can someone tell me if concessions will be open?
If not
Can we bring in a ice chest?

Re: UL - LSU Baseball Scrimmage 11/13/22
Meanwhile back at the goat farm-- Is it Saturday the 12th or Sunday the 13th? Not to mention the time of first pitch
-
Re: UL - LSU Baseball Scrimmage 11/13/22
UL-LSU scrimmage on Sunday 11/13 will start at 12:00 PM and will be a 20 inning scrimmage but most of you probably already knew that because the marketing dept. has done such an awesome job promoting the fact that a top 5 team in the country is coming here to play our baseball team. Someone mentioned a week or so back to "be patient" as they will be a big announcement on Saturday 11/12. That's awesome. The day before the scrimmage after many have already made weekend plans. Fits the narrative perfectly.

Re: UL vs LSU Baseball Tomorrow
Your Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team is back at Russo Park for an exhibition game against the LSU Tigers on Sunday, November 13. The Cajuns will face off against the Tigers for two 9-inning games with the first pitch at 12pm.
Admission is free and gates will open at 11am with concessions available. The Russo Park Stadium Club will also be open with food and drinks available for purchase.

Re: UL vs LSU Baseball Tomorrow
If some of you are so cheap that you cannot buy a few concessions at a free event, I guess you can go back and forth to your car and chug a lug a few beers between innings. Since it is free, I guess you can go in and out as many times as you want. Man, some people on here will _____ about anything.

I was wondering the same thing but under the impression concessions weren’t available. I’m sure everyone else is in the same boat.

I don’t think you are allowed to go by boat.

Yes. They must be playing against the math club as that is an academic reference.

Back in my younger day I would give up beer for lent. Just beer not wine. On a cold night at the Tigue I would bring in a blanket for "warmth" that happened to have a box of wine wrapped up in it. We sat in the patio boxes all the way down the right field line and no one from security went there.
