Did y’all honestly think we would be better this year? I was hoping for 30 wins but I had put this season as a wash considering what transpired with Robe. Besides that returning a bunch of guys who proved they couldn’t hit last year.

Tough day to be a Cajun fan. Neither team on the diamond looked good.
I was at a high school game once. Former Mets pitcher Frank Viola was coaching one team and I was sitting close to the dugout. The other coach did the almost same thing, intentionally walking the winning run. Viola said, "Huh. Ya don't see that every day." His team also won.
This season just shows how far Deggs has to work to get us back. We no doubt slipped last few years.
Two faux paws in one inning. Pressing makes one do weird _____e.
isnt this the coach everyone on this board wanted 7 months ago? Now he cant coach and dont know what hes doing? Asking for a friend
There was a 23 win team in 2012 that got throttled by ULM 17-0 to end the season. I remember that being an apathetic season. The loses were just there and it started no to bother you. I think this team is bound for a similar if not worse fate.
The most disappointing thing is that expectations are always high for Cajuns baseball so it really sucks to watch them struggle. Especially now since everyone wanted this to be a special season. Now we just need to find some positives to grasp to, but it’s hard with only 2 wins going into March.
He can coach. Nobody can coach after he shoots his mouth before the season and nothing pans out. He is pressing so hard it is becoming embarrassing.
It’s a different brand of baseball that Deggs coaches, I get it...we are seeing something different for the first time in a quarter century and it will take getting adjusted. When these kids learn how to win they will go on a tear. Deggs didn’t inherit a 40 plus win team like he did at SHSU. His brand is built to win and is built for tournaments..which is what you want. He wasn’t running his mouth, he was believing in his guys. If he doesn’t believe in them the why would they? Anybody that thought we were just gonna fun through everyone to an at large is delusional. He is rebuilding a program. We are returning what 6 players? 2-3 pitchers? Everything is still in front us
