I actually ordered the ppv... Can I have my $30 back???
Why didn't we just ask Blaine to ask the officals if we could just run the damn clock out.

So I went to the Father in law's house to buy the game. The Father in Law is a LSU fan, granted he is a USL graduate. And he was just saying how good UL played against LSU and the previous games. How embarrasing. We totally got whipped. Anyway Looking at the positive side we are now 2-2 going into a bye week. Going into conference play we are 2-2 when many thought we would be 1-3. The UNT game is going to be huge.
OUCH - that one hurt - I should have saved my $29.95 and read about it tomorrow - it would have not been as painful...but... eff 'em and let's get ready for next week!
2-2. We are tied for 1rst in the Sunbelt. We HAVE TO WIN THE SUNBELT!!
Other than winning, getting blown out is the best thing that could have happened as far as motivation for the rest of the season.
Let's get over our injuries and on to 5 more wins for a bowl game...
I'd like to see six more wins so it would be alot more difficult for us to get screwed again!
Let's just win the belt and be done with it... Here's to us getting healthy and bringing it to the belt!

My main problem is keeping the starters in so long. On a roll out by the Neb qb in the 3rd it was clear that Zanders was nowhere near 100% and he was still in the game. We were down 34-0 and he couldn't plant and swith directions. I know he wants to stay in, but there comes a point where as a coach you nut up and sit him down. He was hurting the team by being out there at that point in the game.
My only other complaint is on Masson. He needs to nut up and take control, this isn't high school football anymore. When B Mac went in the game all of a sudden the plays weren't straight dives anymore, they were options and he was running the ball.
OK last complaint (I think). I don't know if it was the play calling or Masson, but why all the 5 yard passes? I was watching on TV, so I couldn't see the whole field like the last few weeks. That's why I don't know who to complain about on this one.
Oh, it's never a waste of money to watch the Cajuns. However, these are the game that drive me to drinking.

Had we not played so horribly, I honestly don't see the score being much different. Can anyone remember a single play of that game that Nebraska didn't do something nearly amazing? They played flawlessly, and we didn't. We were out manned and it was plain as day to see from my perspective. Their 2nd and scout teams would give our starters a good game. I'm not being pessimistic because I still see us having a great season, but Nebraska is going to be top 10 by year end. Did anyone see what VT did to a Miami team that everyone was raving about today? You did? Ok now that same VT team got beat up and down the field by Nebraska last week and pulled the game out of their asses to barely win. Tip your hats to the Huskers, they have one helluva' football team this year
This man obviously sees what i am seeing. Its clear Bustle is just satisfied with collecting a paycheck and that totally ____es me off. what was with all the short passes and runs up the middle against the monster DL and LBs of Nebraska, are you kidding me?
whats sad was we completed most of our deep passes but we barely took chances of scoring and going downfield, even if you win or lose the challenges, i would have challenged the Fumbled TD in the End Zone for Nebraska at the beginning just to fight for something and also the reception ruled fumble from Ladarius Green when he had it for a second to turn around and when he was hit it flew out. I didnt think that was a completion. I dont know it just seemed like they weren't really trying to compete for anything and by the 2nd half had barely any Starters for DEFENSE. Why continue to just let their 2nd, 3rd string continue to hammer you??? way to make us look horrible.
If we wanna win the sunbelt we cant have the mentality our coaches have. Whoever is calling the plays, they definately need to be more creative, take more chances downfield and stop being so damn predictable.
and im done venting, Lets see some major improvement in 2 weeks
Good news:
ULM beat FAU
Troy beat ASU
2 "favorites" to win for sunbelt lose this week to teams i KNOW we can beat. lets make it happen Cajuns!
Whatever that was, he and that coaching staff did NOT have this team prepared to play. Nobody was expecting us to necessarily win, but this team has significantly improved over the past year and there is no way that we should have looked like what we did. I was thoroughly embarrassed to be an alumnus of the university watching that game.
After reading Parrott's pregame blog, it seemed to me that we were pretty much just putting things into overdrive to save for conference play. I hope I am wrong on that one but it drives me crazy to think that may be true.
I'm not losing all sense of reality. However, everything that transpired before the game began with holding out players or limiting their participation just sent the wrong message to me. Either they were more injured than the coaches and media led us to believe or Bustle just figured he'd try to keep them as healthy as possible for conference which, to me, just sends a bad message to your team.
How long will it take someone to understand that you cannot keep running the zone read off guard against teams like this. If you can't throw different wrinkles into your gameplan, you can't coach. Up until this game, I've been very impressed with what I've seen thus far. I still have a lot of optimism that we can win conference or at least win 6 or possibly 7 games assuming we can get over these injury issues that seem to keep biting us.
Good to see all the Debbie Downers out again. Where were you guys after the 2-0 start? Nothing to complain about I guess. But now you do have something to complain about, so you go into the express lane of complaining and get as much out as you can because you missed about 3 weeks of complaining (got some catching up to do there, don't you?)
Look, everyone here knew we were going to be 2-2 at best, 1-3 at worst heading into the bye week. In the grand scheme of things, playing decent against Nebraska was not going to get us to our ultimate goal, the New Orleans Bowl. Good thing is, after playing like crap, we still have a great shot to get to New Orleans.
Guys need to get some rest, heal those injuries, and then come out and beat the crap of UNT. If you don't go to that game at home, then shame on you.
Reminder- the next 8 are more important than the first 4.
GEAUX CAJUNS!!

That's cool. I've been dealing with that my entire Cajun fan lifetime. Some of us keep hanging in there and trying to build it up... against the odds... that's for sure. Others show up and expect it to loan them some pride. I am so proud of myself as a person, I am in this to loan some of that to UL.
I am perfectly ok with how you feel. When we accomplish something worthy of your participation... I will high five you upon your return... if you allow me to.
I was totally disappointed in the game. Because I live in Texas the only way to see the game was by pay-per-view on Dish Satellite. I have a grandson who plays for UL and I will pay money to see him play as I have seen him play football in high school for four years. He started as starting quarterback as a freshman on the Varsity team which is very unusual, but he is a very unusual athlete. This seems to have been overlooked by this coach however. When this starting quarter back, Chris Mason can't seem to get the football pass the 50 yard line at almost every game they have played, and then the one time they finally get the ball to the 1 yard line he can't get it over for the touchdown in four - I repeat 4 times, the coach still puts this guy back in the game the next time they get the ball. It's hard to believe that there isn't some sort of politics working here! During the Nebraska game they finally did change quarterbacks and they get down to the 19 - or 20 yard line and the receiver drops the ball on a perfect throw. Then they put in a third quarterback who can't move the ball at all. What is this coach thinking?????
