I agree, there are so many better places than prejeans .....Riverside is prob the best, but off the beaten path, so might not be worth it. Don's Seafood hut is every bit as good, and very close/easy to find on Johnston. My favorite is Blue Dog, however, and that's even closer to campus.
What hotel you guts staying at?
La pagua is easily the best and most authentic Mexican food in town. Picante, coyote blues, and place like that are not Mexican.
Haha. Maybe, but true.
Let's talk about location...Picante's is on the ___ end of the Northside (Upper Lafayette). All the other places are on the south side. Now which one is surviving on their food alone?

For a unique dining experience, try Bread & Circus on Saturday nights from 10:00 pm to 12:00 am. They roll out a special menu where the sous chefs cut up and get creative. It's sort of like an underground supper club with some of the most unique treats I've eaten in a while. Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) Wings and Prosciutto and Quail Egg Pizza are what I ate last time I was there. If you are feeling adventurous, check it out.
