wasnt last years attendance around 45000 with almost no SDSU fans there. So it should easily be over 50000 this year with 5000 or so ECU fans and our ticket count up 4000-5000.

Now the 22,000 walkup fans were many, many Cajun fans that were not able to get in on the Cajun ticket allotment. Last year we had a fixed number but this year the NO Bowl and UL worked out a deal for as many as we wanted allotment.
But I do agree with you that we shoud be over 50K ... we'll just have to see if the game time affects local fans much ... but I expect they are looking forward to Cajun Bowl II.

To be honest, I don't think the bowl is supported by the people of New Orleans as far as coming to the game, other than UL Alumni. ECU brought more than SDSU, but they really didn't bring too many. That is what makes the attendance so impressive for UL.Quote:
