This is the best news of my life.
Re: Ragin' Cajun Blog: UL-Middle Tennessee football game changed to 6 p.m.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if a front came through on Friday evening, bringing cooler temps and a Saturday high of about 83, only to be followed by another front that arrives at about 5:30 on Saturday, dropping about 3" of rain on Cajun Field???

Keep the Cajuns on TV, move the game of the week later into the day, or back load all of South Louisiana games into the second half of the season..
At the same time, Baton Rouge has never had a problem with this. They're on mid day TV plenty, and there are 92,000 people in a bowl stadium. _
Since 1960, LSU is 201–59–3 (.773) at night in Tiger Stadium compared to a 20–22–3 (.476) record during the day over that span.
Less than 1 game per year played during the day. Not trying to starting a ____ing contest but your argument about LSU is FALSE.

Recruits that live in SBC network range will now miss out on seeing UL culture, tailgating, current team, etc.. Instead, they'll be getting a look at Troy.. The class of the SBC. Great. _
I'm sure recruits would love to see 12 students in the stands.

So they've played 45 games during the mid day and continue to schedule them.. Not to mention, they are at the mercy of CBS, ESPN, and the SEC Network.. How is my argument "FALSE"? And btw, how many of those games were sell outs; which is really what I'm getting at..

I'm sure recruits care about how many scouts come to see them play (at the stadium or on TV) more than they care about how many students show up..
Re: Ragin' Cajun Blog: UL-Middle Tennessee football game changed to 6 p.m.
"I hear they won" trumps "I saw them lose."

Re: Ragin' Cajun Blog: UL-Middle Tennessee football game changed to 6 p.m.
I'd rather see the Cajuns on TV for the right reasons (playing & winning a football game) than on TV for the wrong reasons (a player or fan dies from the heat). Our games barely get any coverage when we are shown live on TV, but if a player or fan suffers or dies from the heat, it would be coverage the university does not want.
This is a great move by the universities and the conference.

LSU's stadium also isn't target practice for the sun. The student section has absolutely no cover from the sun in the middle of the day.
