Exactly. San Jose pitchers throw some heat. In this era a one year champion can be next year's joke. See Florida State last year in football. It's obvious Degs is doing his normal "tinkering " at beginning of year to find what works.

Well, by appearances, our AD is a big softball fan. He and his wife are regularly seen at those games. Not so much at baseball. Maybe that's not the reason that baseball gets the shaft in these situations, but could be.
