I think he meant Billy will end up at Georgia southern when clay is done

This is probably THE window of opportunity year for Des. Even much ballyhooed Texas State looks beatable at times. QB room will be way different next year, just for starters.

That's a good question? Though I believe the lights are still out, maybe forever. :(
Re: OT: Supposedly Napier out at Florida?
I have a few friends that are DIE HARD gators fans. Like, over the top, fans. I remember one of them telling me, when Napier was being hired, "man, I feel sorry for the guy. . . there isn't a coach in the country gonna succeed here with the cluster@$#! that is Florida athletics." Described it as, worse than Auburn, just more quiet.

well, Napier did do quite well there . . . for himself and his family
Re: OT: Supposedly Napier out at Florida?
His buyout isn't guaranteed:
"If Florida fires Napier, he will be owed approximately $26 million in buyout money. But that number could be mitigated because Florida is currently being investigated by the NCAA for its recruitment – and Napier’s role in the recruitment –of former high school recruit Jaden Rashada."

Oh, it will be VERY different. You never know who will be transferring in . . . . .
Re: OT: Supposedly Napier out at Florida?
Wild card at Florida. Interim president.
Can’t see a new FB hire now, nor can I see an interim president pulling the plug.
Even if Napier finds sudden success, ground and pound Billy ball will not excite their base.
Re: OT: Supposedly Napier out at Florida?
Early on when Florida hired Billy, some on this board stated that he quickly realized what a circus it was and that drove him to raid us. Making the leap from UL to UF was going to be a major challenge and frankly he needed more time to develop as a head coach. Remember those close wins here at UL? You don't get away with some of the decision making we saw here in Florida. The boosters want results, and they wanted them after year one.
