BTW 12 belt teams bowling would be a record for 1 conference. Go figure it would be the belt to do it first.

You’re also correct about Cal and us. Don’t recall what mattered for JMU probably just not enough being bowl eligible

If cal could lose. We get to Indy and JMU and Jax state would bowl. That would be great. I think they both deserve to bowl.

They will all get in because there are less than 82 teams nationwide who went 6-6 or better.

The Cajuns qualified getting 6 wins against 6 schools who had a combined 22 wins and 44 losses. Do we really deserve to go to a bowl game?

JMU is in transition from a lower division of competition. They need another season before they can play in a bowl game UNLESS there are circumstances where they are needed to fill 82 bowl team slots. They would get in ahead of 5-7 schools.

Huff has been at Marshall longer than Dez has been here. The Marshall AD basically cut down on the off season rumor mill and obviously the AD and Coach conversed regarding changes in staff.

With 6-6 being a threshold making a bowl, I’d expect a move in FBS where bonuses given on records, not bowls at 6-6. Eliminate a bonus simply for being average. Or below average, 5th in a 7 team SBCW.


In the meantime, UCLA is stinking things up, Cal up 30-7, 13:35 left.

This is not what they bargained for, but this is what they get for trying to screw the have nots.

7 of the 12 bowl eligible teams in the belt are 6-6. 5 teams with winning records. 2 with losing records.
