Why? Those were the rules they agreed to when they applied to move up. Yes, they are a really good team, but they knew going into last season and this season that they would not be bowl or conference eligible.

Think they got lucky on that TD where all the camera angles were obscured.
Luck always is one part of a good season

I have not looked into the conditions of their FCS transition.
Last year was their inaugural run in FBS and they couldn't go to a bowl. Okay, I don't know what the rule is but, the law is the law. FF to Year 2 of their run in the real deal (an FBS member), performing incredibly well agai, no SBC Championship, no bowl.
Imagine building a Pyramid and then you're restricted from entry for years.
Re: Games of interest weekend of October 13-14
JMU applied for a waiver to shorten their transition, not a waiver for bowl eligibility. If there are not enough teams they can still apply for a waiver to fill in a bowl.
On a separate note it says g5 rep to NY6 is highest ranked conf. Champ. They cannot play in conf.title game because that is a postseason game but it doesn't say that conferences have to use title game to declare champion.

And imagine knowing before you ever started building the pyramid that you would be restricted for years and still decided to build it.
SMU took zero dollars for quite a number of years to join the ACC and I will have zero sympathy for them or anyone who complains about it.
Re: Games of interest weekend of October 13-14
So JMU makes the standard move up deal. What’s the issue? Or program integrity goes by the wayside? If they don’t like it, go back to FCS.
JMU simply needs to honor their agreement and not whine.

Re: Games of interest weekend of October 13-14
Real reason I'm ____ed is because they're SBC.
Rankings, Bowls, good for national perception of the Belt
