Finally pounced on errors a P5 made. Difference in the game.
Credit to Schorman. She walked the first batter she saw and it felt like the doors were going to come off again against one of these teams. She didn’t walk another batter in 6.1 and kept us in the game.
I know beating a Texas type team is nothing too exciting most years, but this one was pretty big. To go 0fer against ranked teams would have been rough.
About 50 Cajuns fans made the trip and Texas had about 400. Lafayette is lucky to get the fan support that they do. Campbell error almost came back to bite the Cajuns.
I was bummed. I live in Round Rock and was looking forward to adding to that 50+ but my wife got a really bad stomach virus last night and today, so I was home taking care of her. Glad to see the team pick up this win.Quote:
