Viator will remain on as a paid analyst. He's not interested in recruiting at this stage of his career. Leger will probably be the OC, wearing headphones with Desormeaux.

Tim will still be the receivers coach, Des will coach the QB's. He will bring in a TE and RB coach on the offensive side.

Honest question. I am especially interested in hearing from those who have played competitively, especially at the collegiate level. Is there really enough to teach a tight end to have a dedicated coach? Speaking from total ignorance here, but it seems like the TE could join the offensive line for blocking coaching and the wide receivers for the passing game. Obviously not, just wondering why....
Re: Co-Offensive Coordinator: Tim Leger
It’s a valid question, but now with staffs so large, it wouldn’t make sense not to have one. I mean we have 2 ol coaches

That’s what they do at the high school level. You just don’t have the time in individual periods in college to split them up between line and receivers. Probably one of the most unique positions on the field. You got to block like a lineman and catch like a receiver if you do it right. That’s why so few do both well. Having said that TE coaches are kinda bottom of the pecking order position wise which is why many have other duties. Over the hud and bustle years our TE coach were often also recruiting coordinator.

Tim current duties will not change from what he is currently doing.

I don't think so, he has someone chosen. We should hear something soon.

Gerald is doing well in private business. He has no interest in returning to coaching. He does enjoy the radio color gig as well as interviews during the season. Those don't conflict with his regular business responsibilities.

It's Des putting together an intramural team?
