Not much due diligence is needed when you can just snag Perkins right out of STM.

Part of it is evaluating ppl you don’t know much about. Even if u ultimately select someone you know well

No. I like championships, as in 3 in a row. He has done much more with with a lot less than Perkins. I have had several STM baseball dads tell me he is a huge underachiever. However, neither will be considered so we just peeing in the wind.
