If I heard right Birds Eye View correctly, it was reported that 12 straight wins at home is a new Ragin' Cajun record.
Hows that for "Stumping" the competition?

LAFAYETTE - Louisiana's men's basketball squad plays its third straight home game tonight, and don't expect things to be much different from the last two.
The Ragin' Cajuns (3-2) have outscored their last two foes by a combined 93 points and Bethune-Cookman figures to be the next victim at 7:05 p.m. in the Cajundome.
The Cajuns humbled Louisiana College 117-57 one week ago and are coming off a 99-66 crunching of Alcorn State on Monday, and probably won't get much more of a challenge from the 1-3 Wildcats. Bethune-Cookman dropped a 79-52 decision at 20th-ranked Minnesota Friday despite the unbeaten Golden Gophers playing without their leading scorer.
"They're very similar to Alcorn in that they have some excellent athletes,' said Cajun head coach Jessie Evans. "They've played a lot of games on the road, but we won't be looking past them after last year.'
The teams played in Daytona Beach, Fla., last season, and Bethune-Cookman led most of the first half and was still tied with the Cajuns after halftime before UL Lafayette stretched a late margin to an 83-73 win. The Cajuns had to shoot 55 percent to take that win.
B-CC's Richard Toussaint had 29 points in last year's game, and the 6-foot-3 guard has been the Wildcats' leading scorer in all four games this year on the way to a 20.0 average.
"We couldn't contain him (Toussaint) last year,' Evans said. "He and the other guard they had last year had 48 between them, so we know what they're capable of.'

Bethune-Cookman lost to Canisius (77-64) and Elon (98-79) and beat Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival Florida A&M (71-69) prior to Friday's Minnesota loss. The Wildcats will play their fifth straight road game tonight, in a string that will eventually include eight away games to start the season. B-CC doesn't play a home game until Jan. 11.
Meanwhile, the Cajuns wrap up their only homestand of the non-conference season tonight, and will make a major step up in competition level in an upcoming five-game road stretch.
UL Lafayette opens the Golden Bear Classic in Berkeley, Calif., Friday against Detroit, and will face the California-Grambling winner on Saturday.
After Christmas, the Cajuns play three games in the Pepsi Holiday Classic in Charlotte, N.C., against Colorado, Loyola-Chicago and host Charlotte.
UL Lafayette opened its season with three straight road games, surprising nationally-ranked Mississippi State in the opener before falling at both McNeese State and Birmingham Southern.
"Those were a wake-up call for us,' said senior swingman Anthony Johnson. "That woke us up and let us know that we can't take anybody for granted.'
Johnson turned Monday's game into a dunking highlight reel on the way to 24 points, and also had four assists and six steals to go with 11-of-15 shooting. He led five players in double figures.
"I was more impressed with the assists and steals that we got,' said Evans, whose team forced 31 turnovers from the Braves and converted a bushel of those into easy baskets.
Evans also was happy with the play of sophomore center Michael Southall, who was playing his second game after missing the opening three with academic ineligibility. Southall had 20 points and six boards to go with four blocks, and Alcorn had little answer for his low-post game.
His 25 minutes was double the amount he played against La. College in his debut.
"That's what we wanted,' Evans said. "He's gotta get himself in better condition. A couple of times I thought he could have picked up some of their guys and put them in the basket with the ball.
"Last year he would have gone up stronger a couple of times, but that will come. We asked the guys in the locker room last night what improvements we have to make, and Mike rattled off five or six things that he needs to improve on.'

<h3>PreGame Story</h3><blockquote><p align=justify>BOBBY ARDOIN
Special to The Advocate
LAFAYETTE -- The burden around the basket has lightened somewhat for University of Louisiana at Lafayette sophomore center Michael Southall.
This season UL has five players, including Southall, who are capable of playing center.
That additional height might be needed tonight when the Cajuns meet the University of Detroit Mercy in the first round of the EA Sports Golden Bear Classic in Berkeley, Claif.. Tipoff is 6:30 p.m. (CST).
The other teams in the tournament include Grambling State and host California-Berkeley, who play tonight following the ULL-Detroit contest.
On Saturday the first-round losers will play at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 9 p.m. championship game.
Last season Southall was the Sun Belt Conference Freshman Of The Year, but he carried nearly the entire load at center.
Centers Khadim Kandji (6-foot-9) and Robert Davis (6-8) were both on the basketball team last year, but played only a combined 100 minutes.
In addition to Southall, Kandji and Davis, the Cajuns also have redshirt freshman Chris Cameron (6-11) and 6-8 sophomore Cedric Williams, who can also play forward.
For Southall, who averaged 28.7 minutes last year, the help underneath the basket is welcome.
"I love having those other guys who can come in. Because I'm going to be double teamed most of the time, the other guys will be drawing one-on-one coverage all season.
"That's going to help them score and rebound and it also helps the team," said Southall.
<center><p><a href="http://www.theadvocate.com/stories/122002/spo_ullvdetroit001.shtml">The rest of the story</a><!--
Southall said he senses a shift in the Cajuns' emphasis away from perimeter players to bigger players who can score from around the basket.
"This season we really have a big-man presence about us. The offense for this team starts inside out," said Southall.
Junior guard Brad Boyd, the team's leading scorer (21.5 points per game), said having bigger players as targets for opposing defenses will be helpful.
"With (Southall) in there now, he has the ability to score everytime down the court or get fouled. Why not throw him the ball?" Boyd said.
Southall is averaging 18.7 points after three games, following a two-game period when he was not eligible because of NCAA academic regulations.
He has also blocked eight shots in three games and has 19 rebounds.
"My game shape is coming back right now, although I'm in pretty good practice shape.
"I think this season having several guys around me who can play will allow me to come out of the game when I'm feeling tired, because they can do the job," Southall said.
Like ULL, Detroit is 4-2 this season. The Titans defeated Western Illinois (79-60) on Tuesday night.
Detroit has also defeated Bowling Green (75-61), Buffalo (66-65) and Hillsdale (70-50).
Willie Green a 6-4 guard is Detroit's leading scorer (21.2). Green is shooting 40 percent from 3-point range. Other top scorers for Detroit are 6-7 senior forward Terrell Riggs (12.8 ppg) and 6-5 junior forward Elijah Warren (10.7).
Warren, Riggs and Green average about five rebounds per game, while 6-7 forward-guard Willie Wallace (8.5 ppg) averages 4.3 rebounds.
The other Detroit starter is 6-1 guard Rulon Harris (4.5).
Boyd's scoring average has been boosted by his 3-point shooting. Boyd has made 34 of 73 field goal attempts (46 percent).
Forward Anthony Johnson (18.3) is next in scoring for the Cajuns.
ULL head coach Jessie Evans said the Cajuns' holiday tournament competition will provide a good preparation for tournament play.
"By playing (tournaments), you know there will be quality teams and in the first round (against Detroit), we will face one on a netural court.
"If we get to the final round, we might play the home team on its homecourt, which will prepare us for the Sun Belt," he said.

<h3>Post Game Story</h3><blockquote><p align=justify>ADVERTISER
BERKELEY, Calif. - For the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team, Michael Southall came through when it counted the most.
The sophomore center from West Salem, Wisc., had an uncharacteristic night shooting from the field (3-of-11) but made his biggest shot of the night, a turnaround layup that gave Louisiana a 54-53 lead with 4:40 left to play in the game, one they would not surrender the rest of the way.
The Cajuns held on to defeat the University of Detroit 68-62 in the first round of the EA Sports Golden Bear Classic here Friday afternoon at Haas Pavilion and picked up their fourth straight win. UL (4-2) advances to Saturday's championship game against the winner of Cal and Grambing at 10 p.m. (CST).
Southall's layup sparked a 9-0 Cajuns run which turned a 53-50 deficit into a 59-53 advantage with 2:56 remaining in the game. Louisiana held on down the stretch, making five free throws to finish the scoring after UDM had rallied to cut the lead to 63-58 with 40 seconds remaining.
UL entered the second half down by eight trailed by nine and seven points on two different occasions. UDM led 49-42 9:10 remaining in the game.
Brad Boyd led all Cajuns with 25 points which included six three-pointers. Anthony Johnson had 13 points and Laurie Bridges contributed 12 points off the bench. Southall led the Cajuns with 10 rebounds. UL Lafayette hit only 20-of-55 shots (36.4 percent) ending a streak of four straight games in which the Cajuns had shot above 50 percent.

The Cajuns rebounded from a 30-percent shooting performance in the first half by shooting 44 percent (11-of-25) in the second half. UL Lafayette converted on 22-of-34 free throws compared to just 8-of-15 for the Titans.
Detroit was led by Willie Green's 21 points. Elijah Warren added 12 points as the Titans placed two scorers in double figures. Warren led UDM with seven rebounds.
The Cajuns forced 18 turnovers and committed only 13. UL Lafayette has had fewer turnovers than the opposition in each game this season.
The first half went back-and-forth with seven ties and seven lead changes. The Cajuns largest lead came at 9:03 when Cedric Williams made two free throws to give UL Lafayette a 17-13 lead.
UDM fought back with the combination of Willie Green and Elijah Warren. A two-point basket from Green and then a Warren three-pointer put the Titans back in front 18-17 with 8:01 to play in the first half.
Detroit used an 11-0 run in the half's final 2:51 to forge the largest lead of the half. A Warren layup and nine consecutive points from Green helped the Titans erase a 26-23 deficit and hold a 34-26 lead with 13 seconds remaining in the first half.
After Warren's layup, Green converted on a jumper, three-pointer and a fastbreak dunk to spot the Titans a 32-26 lead. Green's two freebies put the Titans in front 34-26 and the Cajuns ended UDM's 11-point outburst with a free throw from Laurie Bridges with seven seconds left on the clock. Detroit took a 35-27 lead into the locker room after Solomon Edwards made one of two free throws.
UL Lafayette struggled from the field in the first half. The Cajuns connected on 9-of-30 shot attempts for a 30 percent clip. UL Lafayette also struggled at the free throw line, converting only 6-of-11 attempts. On the other hand, UDM shot 56 percent from the floor in the first half (14-of-25).
